Irene and Alex celebrated their wedding day last Saturday with family and friends at Sopwell House Hotel in St Albans. The wedding ceremony took place at St Mary’s Church in Rickmansworth. Congratulations to the newly wed!

Rachel and Simon tied the knot

Rachel Davies and Simon Harris tied the knot last Sunday at the charming Chancery Court Hotel in London. Two hundred guests witnessed the beautiful wedding ceremony, followed by a very lively wedding party. Congratulations to the young couple!

WJR 'Fab Four'

A couple of weeks ago on a Monday afternoon, I stood on my stepladder in the middle of Abbey Road during rush hour, praying that none of the passing cars would hit me. The reason for this mad behaviour: I was trying to recreate the famous Beatles’ Abbey Road album cover to promote the World Jewish Relief Winter Survival campaign. As part of the campaign WJR is launching Walk for Warmth - a wintry walk in Highgate Woods to raise vital funds to help vulnerable people survive the harsh winter months in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. WJR’s ‘fab four’ were (from left to right) Leigh Shaerf, James Lisbon, Henry Grunwald and Coral Summers.

Nightrider 2011

On Saturday I took part in a charity event - Nightrider 2011 - 60 miles bicycle ride from Alexandra Palace to Crystal Palace and back, Raising money for World Jewish Relief. About 2000 riders filled the street of London, raising money for over 200 different charities. It has been a surreal experience to cycle through the centre of London at one o’clock in the morning. A chance to see London from a unique angle, we have been exposed to both the busy weekend nightlife as well as the silent sleepy streets of the capital. Nightrider was a well organised, feel good event and raising money for World Jewish Relief is definitely worth the pain and muscle ache.

A sprinkle of stardust…

In the last couple of weeks I’ve had the chance to photograph two well known individuals who utilise their celebrity status to help raising money for charity. The charity in question is WJR - the leading overseas aid arm of the UK Jewish community. It provides welfare support in the form of food, medication and fuel in times of crisis wherever it is needed, as well as sustaining and renewing Jewish life in communities across the world.

Nicky Clarke OBE, the renowned hairstylist and media personality, spoke before more than 150 women about his career and shared few secrets about how to keep your hair in perfect condition. He helped to raised over £10,000 for WJR. A few days later, Annabel Karmel, the best-selling author on baby and children’s food and nutrition, demonstrated to a group of 3- and 4-year-olds how to create a Bagel Snake at the start of the Big Bagel campaign to raise money for WJR.

Livi's Bat Mitzvah

Olivia Fullman celebrated her Bat Mitzvah yesterday at the Bushey Country Club, with a very lively crowd of family and friends. Her brother Ben showed some nifty dance moves.

Last Sunday, Natalie & Josh were the first couple to tie the knot at the new NNLS building. It was a gorgeous day and after the ceremony Jo & I took Natalie & Josh to nearby Avenue House Park, where we managed to capture some stunning shots under the blossom tree. The reception was held at the magnificent Stoke Newington Town Hall, which was recently restored to its former glory.

Enchanted Garden

Last week I went with a few photography friends to a secret little place off the main road that leads from Golders Green to Hampstead Heath.

This place is a little gem, combining a Mediterranean pergola garden structure with beautiful Georgian columns. The garden is full of fragrant flowers including jasmine, lavender, sage, clematis, honeysuckle and wisteria.

Next to this enchanted place, in Golders Hill Park, we witnessed spring in full blossom.
